Not about me

So many times I have seen people in distress over perceived or imagined slights. And that thinking can contribute to anxiety and depression. While acknowledging the challenge, it can be beneficial to know that it is often not about you. People can be rude or inconsiderate without any prompting from their partners or friends. Perhaps it is because we are wired to look for cause and effect. But it can be more helpful to realize it is not about us.
